Elaine offers media relations, writing and public-relations expertise for clients including Schering-Plough Corporation, CSL Behring, and Genentech. Elaine has worked on national and international media activities spanning clients in the gastroenterology, dermatology, rheumatology, and bleeding disorder fields.
Since joining MCS in August 2007, Elaine has assisted with many public relations initiatives, including a patient/physician roundtable and grassroots effort to build awareness for von Willebrand Disease. Elaine was instrumental in placing key survey findings about Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency in publications including American Medical News.
Prior to joining MCS, Elaine served as Communication Manager for Girl Scouts: Lenni-Lenape Council, where she developed and implemented marketing and public relations campaigns, served as the official spokesperson, wrote and designed all printed materials, and coordinated meetings and events. Elaine was also an intern at Beckerman Public Relations, where she assisted on commercial real estate accounts for clients including The Gale Company and CB Richard Ellis. Her portfolio includes client placement in The New York Times and The Star-Ledger, as well as local and trade publications.
Elaine graduated with honors from the School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies at Rutgers University, where she was a correspondent for the university’s newspaper, The Daily Targum.
Her professional interests include women’s health, bleeding disorders and dermatology.
