FACT SHEET: Corporate Communications

Corporate communications is the avenue by which a company disseminates its ideals and culture to its various stakeholders, from current and potential customers and investors to employees and the media. MCS is proud to help our clients convey a positive image to the public and their own people in a way that benefits the business and builds excitement for corporate brands.

Corporate Announcements
We have assisted healthcare clients, from manufacturers and research organizations to marketing companies, in communicating corporate agreements, publicizing personnel changes, highlighting awards given and received, and announcing quarterly and annual financial results. These efforts have earned media coverage by national, local and trade newswires, newspapers, periodicals and online media.

On behalf of PharmaNet, a clinical research organization, MCS regularly developed and distributed organizational announcements, which gained coverage in major daily newspapers, business journals, and industry trade publications, including the (Newark, NJ) Star-Ledger, Washington Times, Washington (DC) Business Journal, Applied Clinical Trials, BioCentury and The Pink Sheet

Internal Communications and Employee Relations
MCS is adept at helping companies share important news with their employees, empowering them to contribute to the organization's success. From newsletters that keep employees around the world up to date, to special events and announcements, MCS keeps clients in touch with their workforce.

In addition to communicating product messages to employees, MCS frequently educates clients' staff about new company programs. One example was a global initiative for Aventis (now sanofi-aventis) to streamline purchasing effectiveness and lower costs.

To generate excitement among employees about the entry of Pharmacia (now Pfizer) into a new disease category, MCS conducted an educational campaign that included a monthly newsletter and a campus-wide health fair arranged in partnership with a local third party. The event was promoted with flyers, posters and voicemail, and included activities, demonstrations, theme lunches and the distribution of information about Inspra®, the company's new medication to treat hypertension.

Strengthening Sales By Sharing Information
For Pfizer, MCS currently manages the creation and distribution of five international product newsletters, which keep thousands of brand managers current on news, research and policies. These newsletters unite Pfizer sales and marketing teams worldwide by communicating product news, events and milestones. The professionally designed newsletters, issued regularly to senior personnel, contain news on product sales, upcoming events, clinical studies, medical congresses, regulatory filings, spotlights on individual people or teams, and other information. The newsletters keep hundreds of product managers and directors in dozens of countries aware, involved, recognized and motivated as part of an energetic community.
